In Sellforte Media Optimizer, you are able to set the budget boundaries for each scenario. You can also modify the budget boundaries by exporting and importing them with CSV files.
How to import and export budget boundaries
1. Export boundaries file from MO
2. Open CSV file using Excel
If list separator in the system is set to semicolon, data should open in columns in Excel.
Follow these steps to check if your system uses semicolons:
3. Change the desired fields/values
For Lower and Upper columns, after typing the new values, make sure that the cells are formatted as General, and NOT Number/Currency/Accounting or any other format with thousand and decimal separators. This should be checked at the end, before saving as csv file.
For DurationCount:
To allow all weeks, leave cell blank/delete any number
To limit the maximum number of weeks, enter a number (equal or higher than 0)
To define specific calendar weeks, leave cell blank/delete any number (the desired weeks should be added in the next field DurationCalendar)
For DurationCalendar
This is the setting to select specific calendar weeks
You need to use a fixed template for writing the desired weeks (please refer to the excel template explanation on next page)
4. Save excel file as CSV
5. Import CSV file in Media Optimizer
Excel template for writing desired calendar weeks
1. Download and open support excel file: template for weeks.xlsx
2. Filter the desired weeks and write 1 in column G
3. Copy last cell with value in column I (row 100 à I100)
4. Paste value in the field DurationCalendar in the import file for MO
Check Default Delimiter for CSV Files (System-Wide) for Windows
1. Open Control Panel > Region
2. Click on the button: Additional settings
3. Under the List separator, make sure that semicolon (“;”) is selected

1. Open Excel.
2. Go to the top menu and click Excel > Preferences.
3. Select Advanced.
4. Under Editing Options, find the section labeled “Use system separators”.
5. Uncheck the box next to “Use system separators”.
6. In the Decimal separator field, leave it as dot “.” (or change if needed).
